Ben Barnett, QB Coach
I played QB and WR at Yale University, and graduated with a Bachelors in Political Science in 2002. #boolaboola
Since then, my life has taken me all over the world. I've worked in business, law, construction, and education, but nothing I've ever done has been as challenging or rewarding as coaching football. Nothing comes closes.
In 2013 I took over as the offensive coordinator at my high school alma mater, and by 2014 we had transformed what was a 1-8 squad into an undefeated, record breaking, offensive juggernaut that saw the best record in the program's 110 year history.
From 2013-16 I worked with Vernard Abrams of ACE Training as a QB/WR developer in Philadelphia. I coached hundreds of young men through weekly sessions, individual workouts, clinics, and summer camps.
In 2015 I was lucky enough to be invited to coach at QBEpic, where I met Trent Dilfer and his crew of amazing coaches. These guys taught me a lot, and I've listened intently to every word they say. I use the wisdom of their experience in every coaching session.
I've also been fortunate to be a part of the Elite11, the world's premier QB development showcase. Throughout the regionals, the Elite11 Finals, and The Opening, I've had the opportunity to work directly with the very best high school quarterbacks in the nation, including Bo Nix, Justin Fields, Cam Cooper, Dylan McCaffery, and Myles Brennan.
In 2017, after years of playing, training and coaching football in PA, I moved to Eugene, OR to start Every Moment Football and explore the Great PNW. I've run a few clinics and programs through Kidsports, and have trained the majority of the starting QBs and many skill players at schools like Marist, Churchill, Willamette, South Eugene, North Eugene, Monroe, Cottage Grove, Springfield and Sheldon. I look forward to working with you, too. Let's get to work!
Testimonials
"Ben has the ability to take all the inputs, all the variety, and create one, seamless vision for your son. He has a 30,000 foot perspective on life, and sees football differently than most other coaches. He is an excellent communicator, a talented teacher, and the type of coach that makes players want to listen, and improve. I highly recommend training with Ben." - Trent Dilfer, Super Bowl Champion QB and Elite11 Head Coach (TX)
"I cannot say enough about Ben Barnett and what his coaching has meant to my son. Ben is technically focused on the right way to play QB. He is tough and fair. What impresses me is that Ben is giving my son the right skills, both mentally and physically, to do his job on the field, while teaching him to be a better man. I highly recommend Coach Barnett and Every Moment Football." - Tim Campbell, QB father (Eugene, OR)

Work with Coach Barnett. You want to THINK like a big timer? Work with Coach Barnett. You want to LEAD like a big timer? Work with Coach Barnett. You want to work with a coach who has energy, enthusiasm and charisma? Work with Coach Barnett. You want to reach your maximum potential? You can't do better than working with Coach Barnett." - Andy Davis, lifetime football coach and former QB (SC)
"Coach Barnett is the consumate perfectionist of form and function as it relates to football. I witnessed him transform potential into high performance, and mediocrity into dependability. Absolutely amazing." - Randall Mattison, parent, football coach (PA)
"I don't even know where to begin because whatever I say won't do Coach Barnett justice. Forget "Coach" for a second - he wants and builds relationships with his players so that they know he cares about not only their skills on the field, but them on a personal level. He won't stop until he sees perfection, until he sees that player reach their highest potential. He exemplifies "There Are No Limits". You can't love the game more than he does. He will bring the best out in anyone he coaches. His intelligence, creativity, dedication, and love for the game is above all else. He focuses on the details of the details so that the player and the team play at the highest level Every Moment. His full attention is in making every player he coaches better and from my personal experience - he won't sleep, and I mean that literally, until he makes that player succeed. If you trust and believe in him, he will make you great, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart." - Shane McCurdy, 3 sport college athlete (PA)
"Coach Barnett not only coaches the "how", but the "why", and he does it in a way that makes it easy to understand. We consider him a coach, friend, mentor and role model. There are none better!" - Bill Yost, QB father (NJ)
"Coach Barnett is obsessed when it comes to your success, on and off the field. I was simply a good athlete before Coach Barnett taught me how to play quarterback the right way. He was relentless in making sure I had the right footwork and form. He always saw potential in every player, even when they didn't. Coach Barnett was the most impactful coach I have ever had and I believe he truly cared for me as a person." - Charlie Coyle, QB of undefeated 2014 team and college athlete (PA)
"Working with Coach Barnett is an opportunity you can't pass up. He has been one of the strongest influences in my life, even apart from football. From the moment I met him, he instilled in me the importance of work ethic; in life, in the classroom, and on the football field. He is a great coach, and his knowledge of the game is remarkable. Having said that, the most important thing about him is that he loves helping people, especially those who prove they are hungry for excellence. If it weren't for working with Coach Barnett all off-season, every year, I wouldn't be playing college football. Trust this man. He's a great person, coach, and mentor." - Kyle Mattison, starting strong safety at Dickinson College (PA)
"Coach Barnett is undoubtedly the most passionate football coach I have ever met. His willingness to give back and sculpt young athletes is unmatched, and by working closely with Coach Barnett, I saw tremendous growth as a player, both in my habits and my performance, on and off the field." - Anthony Weizer, RB/LB, 3 year team captain, (PA)
"Ben's uncompromising standards and attention to detail make him an outstanding coach. He was hugely important to our program and poured countless hours into his job as OC and QB Coach, and I have leaned on him heavily through the years. In addition, Ben modeled industriousness, enthusiasm, dedication, integrity, and many other characteristics we hope to inculcate in our players. - Ty Klippenstein, Head Coach, ANC Lions Football (PA)
